Abstract

For the purpose of comparative theology and multiple modernities, I seek to elaborate and revise Husserl’s phenomenological method through Ricouer, Geertz, and Gadamer for the viable project of articulating theological phenomenology and comparative theology. Phenomenology of lifeworld facilitates our elucidation of comparative theology in engagement with sociology of religion in Weber, Geertz, and critical theory.
