Abstract
Alstom Transport Villeurbanne is a design and manufacturing entity dedicated to railways signalling systems and products. Villeurbanne entity has been ISO 14001 [1] certified for its design activities, achieving the level 3 over 4 on eco-design evaluation (“AFAQ ecoconception” method). The purpose of this paper is to illustrate ecodesign approach launched in Alstom Villeurbanne for many years by presenting a return on experience concerning several topics: environmental analysis, processes, technical application, stakeholders and budget.
