Abstract

Arterial lesions associated with the dialysis vascular access are generally easily treated with angioplasty. The only admonition is that the balloon should not be oversized as is the case for venous angioplasty. Since the artery also has a vital function in providing blood supply to the extremity distal to the anastomosis special care is required.
