Abstract
This chapter provides a complex, dynamic, multi-level and glocal model of organizational cultures that tries to grasp the complex interplay among global, national, local and organizational cultural dynamics and to provide an alternative perspective to the analysis of organizational and national cultures. A general framework for the most influential cultural differences models is provided. Finally, it is claimed that the emic perspective, which goes beyond cultural mapping, may help scholars and practitioners to better understand cultural dynamics and improve the effectiveness and efficacy of inter-cultural management beyond knowledge sharing.
