Abstract

This chapter reviews common medical conditions associated with CTS such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, and obesity and their effects on incidence, treatment recommendations, and prognosis. Clinicians will also learn about unusual diseases including acromegaly, mucopolysaccharide storage disorders, amyloidosis, and atypical infections that may cause CTS.
