Abstract
Food safety and food security are major topics in the current global debate about food production and provision. The availability of food is a major issue and many people focus on productivity and efficiency in agricultural practice to deal with these issues. However, to know if your food is safe, healthy and available, the distribution of food over the world is more important than concerns over the amount of food produces.

‘Findable spaces’ is a concept of thought, with the objective to find or allocate spaces in (dense) urbanised areas where many spatial constraints occur and a high spatial and functional pressure is experienced, for the production of healthy and fresh food.
