Abstract

Indoor positioning systems based on BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) beacon signal strength is studied. Student positioning in a classroom is a target application of this study. BLE is low energy consuming and one directional low energy consuming communications. A suggested layout of multiple BLE for deciding student positions is proposed and the experimental results based on the environment are analysed. The proposed position assumption method based on three signal strengths are useful for indoor positioning.
