Abstract
This chapter represents economic factors of rural welfare, which is a re-collectivised process in economy and welfare. There is the emergence of new collectivism in rural China. New collectivism was demonstrated in various economic and social cooperative organizations. They carry on the old traditions, not only simply repeating the past, but also they have innovations in rural society. Collective economy is the economic and social foundation of rural welfare, because it establishes a redistribute system of collective welfare. New collectivism is not forced, but farmers’ spontaneous pursuit. It reflects a spirit of solidarity which is a demand of the welfare system, as well as a continuation of the Chinese traditional culture, and then new collectivism is a continuation of socialist system. The common wealthy is a core of socialist principle. New collectivism would guarantee the interests of each member of this organization.
