Abstract

Based on the literature review Ratajczak-Mrozek systematizes positive and negative effects of social embeddedness , interorganizational network embeddedness and territorial embeddedness on companies’ business activities and performance. The concept of embeddedness is used to analyze the impact of social context and personal relationships , interorganizational (business) relationships as well as spatial scope of specific relationships on companies’ activity and performance. The analysis includes both structural embeddedness and relational embeddedness , focusing on the quality of the relationships.
