Abstract
Ratajczak-Mrozek summarizes the main research results, managerial implications and the effects of network and social embeddedness on internationalization and companies’ activity. The chapter shows that all companies, regardless of their size, are embedded to a different degree in domestic and international relationships and are subject to domestic and international interactions. This questions the validity of the distinction between domestic and foreign activity of companies and demonstrates that in the B2B market, there are actually no exclusively domestic companies which are not directly or indirectly connected with foreign entities. The analysis indicates particular positive and negative outcomes of social and interorganizational network and territorial embeddedness as well as the positive impact of higher degree of embeddedness on business performance.
