Abstract

Although there is a lot of argument around the issue of racism, it is difficult to limit the acts of racism to what happens out of a formal school environment as schools are an extension of the societies in which we live in, making them essential institutions of antiracism interventions. In this light, developing the strategies to combat racism in and out of schools is vital. These new strategies involve interrogating societal norms that reproduce the issues of racism and education that foster societal reproduction of racial structures.
