Abstract

Cardiac catheterization is the gold standard test to identify coronary artery disease. The goals of cardiac catheterization are to identify the anatomy of the coronary circulation and the severity of the stenoses if present, in addition to defining the cardiac hemodynamics. Basic knowledge of the coronary anatomy and physiology is essential for the clinicians taking care of cardiac patients in everyday practice.
