Abstract
Acute onset severe chest pain presentations should raise suspicion for acute aortic syndromes. Patients with acute aortic syndromes have a high mortality, and this is especially true in case of acute thoracic aortic dissection. Clinicians should be aware of the presenting symptoms and signs and have a high index of suspicion. Clinicians should also be aware of the diagnostic modalities and treatment options for these patients.
