Abstract
This chapter analyzes how the Mexican Women’s National Team developmental efforts have focused substantially on American-raised players as the American women have long been seen as a standard bearer of the game. It contrasts the differences in the rivalry on the women’s side from that of the men’s programs, in which the Mexicans have long been the regional leaders of the game.
