This chapter concludes by reflecting on the fact that the uptake of social media in theatre is a rare case where advice about how to work with the technology is outpacing actual work with the technology. I consider what this means for the practice of social media theatre, the theory of social media theatre and the work of those wanting to use social media to reconnect theatre with broader cultural debates.
