Abstract

In spite of the success of the Ptolemy’s model, it contained a number of unexplained coincidences. Somehow the movements of the planets are guided by the Sun. If the Sun and the planets all revolve around the Earth independently, why does the Sun have anything to do with the movement of the planets?
