Abstract
The Pitanguy technique for the surgical treatment of breast hypertrophies and ptosis is presented from its very beginnings. The main and basic principles are considered along with the results obtained by this procedure.
Pitanguy’s technique has had a wide distribution and acceptance in the specialized medical literature. The technique is applied to the treatment of a great many number of breast deformities.
