Abstract
In this chapter we have narrated the history of destruction of India because of the Muslim invasions since ninth century and the occupation of India by the Muslims since twelfth century. Indian education system, universities, and intellectual atmosphere along with the fundamental structure of the society were in ruins because of these invasions and occupations. The British rule replaced the Muslim rule and made two significant changes, which are quite opposite to each other. Along with the de-industrialization process and severe exploitation of the masses, British rule also rejuvenated the long-lost intellectual atmosphere.
