Abstract
All experimental measurements are inaccurate to some degree. The difference between the numerical result of the measurement and the real value of a magnitude being measured is the error of the measurement. Measurement errors are classified in two categories: accidental and systematic. The various sources of errors are discussed. Also discussed are the effects of the errors of several variables on the errors of compound quantities which are functions of these variables.
