Abstract
One of the most important steps during the geo-modeling workflow is the inference of the spatial distributions of the petrophysical properties of interest. This chapter describes iterative geostatistical seismic inversion methodologies able to retrieve simultaneously P- and S-wave velocity, density, facies and porosity models directly from seismic reflection data. All the methodologies introduced are illustrated with real case applications and compared with similar inversion methodologies.
