Abstract

Several government organizations that are not NASA Centers have contracts, arrangements or affiliations with the Centers or with a Department of Defense facility in support of the Human Exploration Program. Many organizations have very unique facilities that were used for earlier space programs and are now utilized for future deep space missions. Some are now conducting research, testing, and evaluations of flight elements and systems for deep space programs. This chapter briefly describes these organizations and their support for deep space missions, such as to Mars.
