Abstract

This talk will focus on our recent efforts to synthesize ultra small gold (Au) nanostructures with atomically precise sizes and well-defined morphologies. These Au nanostructures can be viewed as superatoms and superatomic molecules and exhibit unique, molecular-like optical properties strongly dependent on the structural parameters.
