Abstract
The aim of the present work is an experimental study of broadband electromagnetic wave emission from gas cluster beam excited by ultrashort (~100 fs), high-intense (~1016 W/cm2) laser pulses. Cluster beam was produced by partial condensation of gaseous argon during its expansion through a conical nozzle into the vacuum chamber. Two color excitation scheme was used: laser beam combined fundamental frequency and its second harmonic. We observed and studied simultaneous generation of terahertz and X-ray radiation in the atomic cluster plasma.
