Abstract

The keys to good health in the older years is to maintain good physical health, keep mentally active, eat a good balanced diet, and practice good healthful habits. Whether you are an amateur astronomer, or just a normal civilian mortal (haha!), a balance of all these factors is important to the quality of life after the age of 50.

The Nitrogen in our DNA,

the Calcium in our teeth,

the Iron in our blood,

the Carbon in our apple pies,

were made in the interiors of collapsing stars.

We are made of Star Stuff

—Carl Sagan
