Abstract
As an undergraduate I was smitten with a girl, a fellow physicist, and naturally I was desperate to impress her at every opportunity. One time, she invited me to her room and I noticed she had a small, gray teddy bear propped up on a cushion. The bear’s fur was threadbare in places, one of its eyes was missing, and clearly it had accompanied her on her travels to date. She caught me looking at it, and told me its name.
Commander John J. Adams: ‘Nice climate you have here. High oxygen content.’
Robby the Robot: ‘I seldom use it myself, sir. It promotes rust.’
