Abstract
There is no pathognomonic sign that unquestionably leads to a correct diagnosis of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) [1]. However, the diagnosis can usually be made with a thorough patient history and recognition of clinical manifestations that are more or less consistent with the disease [2]. The location, type, number, and severity of lesions may vary widely amongst patients, but recurrent inflammatory nodules with intertriginous involvement should alert the clinician to consider a diagnosis of HS.
