Abstract
Conformance checking is a time-consuming analysis, and the diagnose of conformance problems is not free of difficulties. This chapter provides a general decomposition of the original problem in parts, alleviating its computation time, and providing mechanism to locally understand the detected problems. In later chapters, we will apply this idea to analyze the fitness of large processes.
