Abstract

Carapace subquadrate to subpentagonal, slightly broader than long, markedly thick; anterolateral and posterolateral margins nearly parallel, distinct junction between them marked with tooth or small tubercle. Front straight or slightly produced, bilobed, much shorter than posterior margin of carapace. Orbits small, not fully covering eyes; eyestalks short. Antennules folded transversely. Antennae with long basal antennal segment, not reaching to frontal margin. Third maxillipeds with merus quadrate, much shorter than ischium. Chelipeds robust, subequal to unequal. Walking legs relatively slender, last legs without any modification. Abdomen of males and females with seven freely moving somites. G1 slender, long, nearly straight; G2 much shorter than G1. Genital opening of males coxal. Genital opening of females sternal.
