Abstract

Complex technological plants work in different technological modes during its exploitation that causes changes of plants parameters. Changeable parameters of the plant may lead to changeable efficiency of automatic control systems or even to the abnormal functioning of the plant if such automatic control systems have static value of controller parameters. Controller’s all-mode tuning is usually used to avoid abnormal functioning of the automatic control system in different modes, but such strategy reduces profits. There are many ways to improve the quality of automatic control. The most common is to use adaptive tuning that allows to find optimum controller’s parameters of the system for every technological mode of the plant. Another approach to increase efficiency is to solve coordination task. Such approach can be used for plants with significant nonlinear connections. As example, the article describes developed coordination control system with decision support system for sugar refinery.
