Evidence-based Therapy in Vascular Surgery

Abstract

Surgery has been the gold standard for treatment of patients with varicose veins and truncal reflux. Meanwhile, endovenous techniques have become very popular as a minimally invasive alternative to classical surgery (high ligation and stripping). In countries were reimbursement is available, the vast majority of patients are treated endovenously.
