Abstract

This chapter lists indications for the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) in different parts of the world including approved as well as those that are not approved. Various contraindications are also described.

Complications of HBO are discussed, particularly middle ear barotrauma, and their management is described. Precautions in selection of patients for HBO therapy are also mentioned.
