Abstract

FROM TIME TO TIME, the world is struck by a craze. There was the 15-puzzle in the 1880s, the Rubik cube in the 1980s, and now everybody fiddles around with Sudoku. In this appendix we look at the Rubik cube in some detail especially with regard to the illustration of various properties of groups.
