Abstract

With the increasing amount of protein and peptide therapeutics into the market, the striking difference between the pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism of these recombinant proteins/peptides and the small molecule drugs mainly lay into the following aspects: much longer half-life, more complicated recycling pathway, and more complex outcome of degradation.
