Abstract
Bulimia nervosa (BN), one of the prototypical feeding and eating disorders involving preoccupation with body image, binge eating, and compensatory behaviors in response to binge eating, is portrayed in this case. The discussion reviews the presentation, risk factors, assessment, and management of patients with BN. Updates in the diagnosis of BN in DSM-5 are discussed.
