Abstract

The evolution of telephone communication networks and the pervasiveness of cell phones have changed our lives forever. Contemporary smartphones (and associated apps) make all the knowledge in the world available at our fingertips, anywhere, all the time. In this chapter we present an overview of the current state of the art in the smartphone arena, as well as suggestions of usefulĀ apps.
