Abstract
The state of Mizoram lies far northeast of India, has a geostrategic location. From three sides—east, south (Myanmar), and west (Bangladesh), it has international boundaries. The three states of India—Tripura, Assam, and Manipur delimit it from north side. Political history of Mizoram is only about 70 years old. It was a disturbed area before 1985, as insurgent groups were quite active but now, Mizoram is a peaceful state of India. In this chapter, we described a brief geostrategic location, political history, and development of Mizoram.
