Abstract
Have you ever tried to repeat somebody’s experiment, but did not find the necessary information in the publication on how the experiment was conducted? Once you know about the critical protocol steps of an Elispot assay, don’t you wonder how they were addressed by others? For example: How long it took to isolate PBMC after blood draw? How was resting performed, and for how long? What was the background reactivity for the tested samples? Was the serum used pretested? Were reported results background corrected? Or would you like to see an example image of crucial wells (which will likely be the best example available)? Did you wonder how the authors established reading parameters, and if reading parameters were adapted when necessary? Many more questions come to mind.
