Abstract

The paper presents an attempt to apply the modern CAD systems to keep information regarding the appearance and design of the mechanisms of the past and to provide the basis for reconstruction of the engineering technology of the previous epochs. The 3D model and animation of a responsyn, the device including a stepper motor and a flexible gear, allows obtaining of the original principles of the mechanism that does not exist anymore. New computer-aided technologies, such as CAD systems help us to promote knowledge and saving it for the future.
