Abstract
The term “shall cooperate” contained in Article 37, para. 1, means that the two principal actors, the States Parties and the CRPD Committee, with separate roles and functions defined by the CRPD, shall “operate jointly” to pursue the Convention’s objectives. For this purpose, Article 37, para. 1, provides the obligation of States Parties to collaborate with the CRPD Committee and assist its members in order to undertake its mandate.
