Abstract
This concluding chapter identifies the main forces that are likely to shape the relations between Iran and its Arab neighbours in the coming years. The list includes changes in the leadership in the eight countries, inter-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) rivalry, changes in energy markets, regional economic development, territorial disputes, continuous migrations and religious doctrines. The chapter argues that relations between Iran and its Arab neighbours are by no means uniform. Thus, it is more accurate to describe and analyse the relationship amongst rather than between Iran and its Arab neighbours.
