Abstract
Obstetrics and Gynaecology is one of the few specialties that encompasses both medicine and surgery. Whilst obstetrics is the branch of medicine concerned with the complications associated with pregnancy and labour, gynaecology is the care of women’s health, genitalia and reproductive organs when they are not pregnant. This chapter will serve as a source of reference for the surgical aspects of the specialty, both on the wards and for exam revision.
