Abstract
Otorhinolaryngology, more commonly referred to as ENT, is concerned with the diagnosis and management of pathology of the ears, nose, throat and neck. It encompasses a wide variety of conditions, with ENT-related presentations being some of the most common in general practice. Acting as both surgeons and physicians afford ENT clinicians to experience a diverse mix of clinical situations. This chapter will explain the key concepts of the most commonly performed ENT procedures. In addition, tips on getting the most out of your ENT attachment at medical school and a general overview of ENT as a career are outlined.
