Abstract

Shows how Sieff’s outreach work among women’s organisations, particularly the Co-operative Women’s Guild, familiarised and legitimised the Zionist project in Britain; explores her friendship with two leading Labour party figures, Jennie Lee and Nye Bevan; discusses her concurrent management of work for women’s equality in Britain, and her high standing among 1940s feminists.
