Abstract
Gendering the topic of Christian-Jewish relations, and of immigration and minority communities, and its relevance to present-day multicultural issues; gaps in the historical record, and the difficulty of interpreting surviving texts; irrevocable changes in women’s lives between the interwar period and the present, and the implications for the voluntary associational sphere.
