Abstract
This chapter analyzes Lola Arias’ theatrical play Mi vida después (2008) and Ernesto Semán’s novel Soy un bravo piloto de la nueva China (2009), as a means of discussing the figure of the perpetrator in the cultural memories of post-dictatorship artists and writers. In the last section of the chapter the author establishes a connection between the presence of monstrous characters in second-generation narratives and autofiction, sometimes understood precisely as a monstrous type of writing, the result, in Manuel Alberca’s definition, of a laboratory experiment that mixes the DNA of different genres to create an androgynous “creature”.
