Abstract

Life expectancy in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) appears to be substantially reduced compared to general population. As a matter of fact, it is well known that the high incidence of cardiovascular events heavily affects the prognosis in patients with renal disease. There is a close relationship between aortic stiffness and Chronic Kidney Disease, which is supported by a number of studies.
