Abstract

This book is drawn from an exploratory study to understand more about the experience of losing political office, the consequences of the loss of such office on individuals and their families and what, if anything, could be done to mitigate the consequences. It was a small qualitative study, and it did not aim to be able to produce statistically significant figures, but instead to hear directly the lived experiences of a number of different former politicians.
