Abstract
The chapter analyzes different approaches for nonlinear control of AC to DC converters (rectifiers): (i) flatness-based control through transformation to the canonical form, (ii) differential geometry-based control, (iii) nonlinear H-infinity control. Moreover, the chapter presents flatness-based control for the HVDC-VSC transmission system.
