Abstract
A primary prevention program of interventions is proposed to increase resilient thinking, emotions, and behaviors in firefighter emergency responders. The objectives would be to prepare first responders psychologically so that extreme adverse reactions to traumatic events are prevented or mitigated, and also to help emergency responders deal more productively and effectively with the everyday stresses that occur at work, at home, and in life.
