Abstract
The previous chapter showed how public opinion can be influenced by inaccurate information about current laws and policies. Slogans often dominate discussions on gun policy and can play a role in shaping public opinion. Although some of these slogans may sound logical and reasonable, they may be patently false. The power of slogans is that they can be easily remembered and repeated.
